Cap Torque Testers - Australia

We sell and stock digital Cap Torque Testers in Australia. Call us to discuss your application. The rotational force required to open bottle lids is measured in various size loads in Newton-meters, KG-m, lb-in.

A cap torque tester is used to measure the rotational force or torque that is exerted to undo a bottle cap off a bottle. The cap torque tester secures the bottle into is housing and is gripped by four adjustable pins. The user applies rotation to the cap as you would normally open a bottle cap. The resultant torque is measured either by live results on the screen or the display can show the peak force (including visual graphing of torque curve) achieved in the process of the bottle cap opening. This is important to ensure the setting of bottling machines in the production line is consistent and appropriate.

There are various sizes available depending on the accuracy, resolution of result and amount of cap torque required. Testequip sell 4 different brands of cap torque testers and we usually keep the most popular units in stock at our Australian head office in Melbourne. Not only do we offer these Cap torques testers for sale, but we can also assist with calibration, service and warranty requirements.

Contact us to discuss your application and we can assist in supplying a cap torque tester that meets your requirements and budget.
